ANALYSIS OF IMPEDIMENTS TO FAIR HOUSING CHOICE
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA), in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, is updating the State's Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice for FFY2008 (SFY2009) as a prerequisite to receiving federal funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); HOME Investment Partnership (HOME); Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG); and the Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. The Analysis of Impediments describes Georgia's existing fair housing conditions and how the state, local, private, and federal resources will be used to address the identified needs.
A key component in the suc cessful development of the Analysis of Impediments is the public input and direction provided by the citizens of Georgia. The State has scheduled three public hearings to solicit input on the state's fair housing needs. Public hearings will be held at the following locations:
