Eula Beverly Turner Southerland

MOULTRIE — Eula Beverly Turner Southerland, 84, formerly of Moultrie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, Pelham.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home, Moultrie. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie.

Mrs. Southerland was born March 15, 1924 in Cotton, GA. to the late John Hill Turner and the late Lena Mae Taylor Turner. She was married to the late Wilson Carl Southerland. They made their home in Moultrie where Mrs. Southerland enjoyed a long career working as head cashier for Winn Dixie. Mrs. Southerland graduated from Colquitt High School and was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church. She was a an active member of WMU and the Dorcas Sunday School class.

Mrs. Southerland was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lena Mae Turner, husband, Wilson Carl Southerland and brothers, Hilton C. Turner, W.H. Turner and H.D. Turner.

Mrs. Southerland is survived by her brother, J.D. Turner and his wife Imogene of Augusta, sisters, Beulah T. Stewart and husband Carl of Camilla, Lanora T. Nattinger and husband Jack of Augusta, Alma T. Walls and husband Buddy of Albany and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home in Moultrie from 6-8 P.M.

Members of the Dorcas Sunday School class of Kingwood Baptist Church are invited to be honorary pallbearers

Jimmy Ladon Williams

BLAKELY — Jimmy Ladon Williams, 74, of 585 Manry St., Edison died May 25, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be Thursday 11 A.M. at the Edison Baptist Church with interment in Salem Cemetery. Rev. Pete Sharber will officiate. Pallbearers will be Richard West, Aldine Owen, Reeves Lane, John McGriff, Jimmy Eubanks and Frank Miller. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born May 9, 1934 in Seminole Co. to the late Grady Williams and Ruth West Williams. He was a retired route salesman for Tom’s Peanut Co. and lived most of his adult life in Calhoun Co. He was a member of Edison Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mickey Dean Duke Williams of Edison, a daughter, Cindy Smith and husband, Kent of Atlanta, a son, Steve Williams and wife, Melissa of Albany, four grandchildren, Landon Smith, Kristi, Teasie and Steven Williams, two brothers, Billy Williams of Colquitt and Buddy Williams and wife, Linda of Albany and a sister, Juanita Hines of Albany.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Edison Baptist Church.
