Maggie Eudelle Dorminey Cole

ALBANY — Maggie Eudelle “Dale” Dorminey Cole died Friday, May 23, 2008.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, May 26 at Kimbrell-Stern. Family will receive friends immediately after the funeral services.

Mrs. Cole was born June 25, 1928 to William Oliver Dorminey and Mamie Lee Dorminey in Cordele, Georgia. She was a 1945 graduate of Crisp County High School. After graduation she was employed by Civil service in Warner Robins and as Clerk of Court for Crisp County. For more than 40 years she lived in Albany and retired from Emroe Marketing in 1998. She later retired again from Hand Wash and Detail on Gillionville Rd. Dale was an avid fan of Alan Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Oliver and Mamie Lee Dorminey, and her brother Louis Thomas Dorminey.

She is survived by her son, James M. Cole of Albany; three daughters, Judy Cole Sexton of Leesburg, Nancy Cole Hand of Alachua FL, and Susan Cole Green of Albany; seven grandchildren, Paula Cole Tyson of Braselton, GA, Kristie Worthy of Bainbridge, Paul Cole of Clermont, GA, Patrick Cook of Houston TX, Joshua Hand of Marietta, Stephanie Hand of Statesboro, and Zackery Rogers of Albany; six great-grandchildren, Breana and Bailee Worthy of Bainbridge, Savannah and Garrett Cook of Houston TX, and Clarice and Maggie Cole of Clermont GA; her sister, Helen Dent of Hawkinsville GA; two brothers, Clyte Dorminey of Bainbridge and Garthon Dorminey of Benton AR; a host of nieces and nephews.

Afton Fay Riddle Moore

ALBANY — Afton Fay Riddle Moore, 68, of Albany passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A Rosary Service will be held today (Sunday) at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home, with Father Finbarr Stanton reciting the prayers. Funeral Mass services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Finley, KY., with burial in the church cemetery.

Afton Fay Riddle Moore was born on May 7, 1940 in Cleburne, TX, to the late Willie Oxford and Amy Mae Birchfield Riddle. She was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church and had a great love for music. For many years she worked for Strategic Medley Equipment, where she was known to be the voice of the company. Her coworkers have said her laugh; presence and love for others will truly be missed.

Other than her parents her husband, Charles Robert Moore who passed away on April 27, 1995, preceded Mrs. Moore in death.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Robert Moore Jr. of Hermitage, TN, Gregory Julian Moore of Albany and Anthony Alan Moore and his wife Shannon of Birmingham, AL; one daughter, Rebecca Moore McFarling and her husband Gorden of Leesburg; nine grandchildren who she dearly loved; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends today (Sunday) from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the rosary at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
