Betty Jean Adams

CAMILLA — Betty Jean Adams, 72, of Sale City, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Cool Springs Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Mike Adams will officiate.

Born September 3, 1935 in Sale City, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Archie and Hettie Clydie Shiver Adams. She was a pharmacy technician at Mitchell Co. Hospital for more than 30 years. She was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Tim Williams, Owen Jennings, Jeb Bell, Bob Bell, Paxton Adams, Jeff Adams, Chris Adams, and Nelson Burnett Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Buck Adams of Sale City; two sons, Mike Adams and wife, Tammie of Moultrie, and Scott Adams of Weston, GA; daughter, Chan Bell and husband, James of Sale City; four grandchildren, Katie Williams and husband, Tim of Newton, Leah Jennings and husband, Owen of Atlanta, Jeb Bell of Evans, GA, and Bob Bell of Weston, GA; four step-grandchildren, Mathew Adams, Paxton Adams and Caraline Adams, all of Moultrie, and Tyler Jackson of Weston; three great-grandchildren, Cole Williams, Kamyrn Williams, and Carson Williams, all of Newton.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today (Sunday) at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.

Una Myrtle Mason

COLQUITT — Una Myrtle Mason, 94, of Colquitt, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Miller County Hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today (Sunday) at Bellview Free Will Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Colquitt City Cemetery. The Revs. Mike Mounts, Andy Meritt, and Benjamin Miller officiating.

Born on December 28, 1913 in Baker County, Mrs. Mason was a retired peanut inspector and a member of Bellview Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Womens Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Sara (Troy) Long of Bainbridge; a sister, Uva Mason of Colquitt; a brother, Talmadge Sanders of Colquitt; two grandchildren, Troy (Julie) Long Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, and Carolyn (Jeff) Thompson of Bainbridge; six great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mason and one great-granddaughter, Leah Long.

Pallbearers are Mickey Henley, Donald Brooks, Levon Clenney, Joe Martin, Roger Worsley and Don Brown.
