Mary Lois Wheeles Rowland

SYLVESTER — Mrs. Mary Lois Wheeles Rowland, 92, of 202 Bryant Dr., Sylvester, Ga. died May 12, 2008 at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor. Memorial service will be May 14, 2008 at 11 A.M. at Bethel Baptist Church. The remains of Mrs. Rowland have been cremated.

Mrs. Rowland was born September 26, 1915 in Rutledge, Walton Co. to the late William David Wheeles and Cynthia Claude Sullivan Wheeles. She is the widow of Curtis Hugh Rowland who preceded her in death April 21, 1980. She was formerly employed with Lockheed in Marietta and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughter-in-laws, Meredith Rowland of Memphis, TN and Garland W. Rowland of Sylvester, five grandchildren, David Gary Rowland (Monica) of Sylvester, Nickolas Rowland of Memphis, TN, Ricky Rowland, Doug Rowland and Claudette Rowland, five great grandchildren, one sister, Betty Holland of Waverly Hall, two brothers, John Wheeles of Clemens, NC and Mack Wheeles of Sylvester.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Rowland was preceded in death by three sons, William Donald (Don) Rowland, Raymond Dale Rowland, Gary Hugh Rowland and a grand daughter, Vicky Rowland.
