Woman reports assault by boss

  • A woman tells police she was assaulted by her boss on her first day on the job.

ALBANY — An Albany woman told police that she was sexually assaulted after being hired at an Albany business Monday, police reports show.

Eugene Moore of Albany has been charged with rape in connection with a Monday incident at Midwestern Meats on Johnson Road.

According to the reports, a 25-year-old Albany woman told police that she went Monday morning to apply for a job at Midwestern Meats and was immediately offered a position as secretary to Moore.

After working most of the day, the woman told police that around 4:30 p.m., Moore locked the door and asked her to come into his office, where he began kissing her and unbuttoning her pants, the report states.

The woman told police that Moore then exposed himself to her and pulled her pants down while she was telling him to stop, before rubbing against her, according to the report.

The woman told police that during this encounter, Moore’s phone rang, which allowed her to run away from the business.

Police noted that the woman was shaking and was visibly upset and told them during questioning that her pants still had Moore’s DNA on them, the report states.

Moore, when questioned by police, said nothing had happened at work and initially refused to talk further. The report says that Moore eventually told police that he had made a mistake, but he wouldn’t elaborate.

He was taken to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning and was later charged and booked into the Dougherty County Jail.
